Rare dinosaur fossils found in Thailand

THAILAND (Lord Media): Rare dinosaur fossils have been discovered in Thailand’s northeastern province of Kalasin. Biologists revealed that the fossils belong to a long-necked dinosaur that fed on tree leaves, exhibiting unique characteristics not seen in other dinosaurs. Named Uragasaurus kalasinensis, this herbivorous dinosaur is believed to have roamed the earth approximately 150 million years ago, with an unusually long neck measuring up to 20 meters.

Dr. Apirot Nilpanapan from Mahasarakham University in Thailand stated that the remains were found at Phu Noi, a site where a dinosaur fragment was previously discovered by an individual in 2008. Further exploration of the area led to the discovery of additional fossils, including teeth and bones.

This research was published in the Nature scientific journal this week. Earlier in May, another long-necked herbivorous dinosaur, Nagatitan, was also discovered in Thailand, noted as the largest dinosaur found in Southeast Asia.
