Green Pakistan Initiative boosts agriculture in Balochistan

QUETTA (Lord Media): Under the Green Pakistan Initiative, significant progress is being made towards agricultural development and the prosperity of local farmers in Balochistan. The project has made 3,800 acres of land cultivable and installed 144 solar tube wells in Duki, Killa Saifullah, and Sibi.

In Phase Two, 8,481 acres of land have been made cultivable in Kohlu, Barkhan, Chaman, Nushki, Dera Bugti, Zhob, Mastung, Quetta, and Killa Saifullah. Collectively, thousands of acres have been made arable under Phases One and Two, benefiting 288 farmers.

The cultivation of wheat, cotton, and orchards on these lands is promoting local employment, agricultural production, and economic self-sufficiency. The GPI plays a crucial role in enhancing the prosperity of local farmers, agricultural output, and economic stability.
