CALIFORNIA (Lord Media): SpaceX has successfully launched the world’s first nuclear-powered commercial satellite into space. The satellite was launched via a Falcon 9 rocket from Vandenberg Space Force Base.
Named the Belta Vaultic Orbital High-Reliability (BOHR), this satellite was developed by the American company, Sati Labs. Its purpose is to demonstrate the safe use of nuclear energy in commercial space missions, especially where solar power or batteries are ineffective.
According to the company, this technology could play a crucial role in providing energy for deep space missions and the moon’s dark regions in the future.
Sati Labs CEO Peter Kaboye hailed this success as a historic milestone for the commercial space industry. He stated that BOHR has proven that nuclear energy systems are practically ready for commercial space missions.
