These features include live scores, real-time chat, football-based communities, themes, and AI-powered tools.
Meta has partnered with broadcasters, national teams, players, commentators, and creators to provide users access to World Cup-related content.
Threads will feature live chats about the Football World Cup, aiming to engage fans in real-time discussions. A football community has also been added to this platform where users can interact on match days.
Instagram has launched a World Cup hub offering reels, stories, user-generated content, and broadcaster coverage. Facebook users will benefit from a special football mode, while Messenger introduces live updates.
WhatsApp has temporarily replaced the football emoji with the event’s official match ball and added football-themed video call effects and sticker packs.
