The duck hunting season in Punjab has officially ended, and Wildlife Rangers have imposed a province-wide ban on hunting, according to officials.
A spokesperson said the restriction has been enforced due to the onset of the breeding season. Wildlife authorities had earlier announced the duck hunting season from October 1, 2025 to March 31, 2026, during which hunting was only permitted on Saturdays and Sundays.
Officials further stated that after the conclusion of the season, strict action will be taken against individuals found involved in duck hunting in violation of the ban.
