Rawalpindies all-rounder Saad Masood has expressed confidence in his team’s ability to deliver a strong performance in their debut season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), saying the side is determined to fight for the title despite being a new franchise.
Speaking to media in Lahore, Masood said the team’s preparations were progressing well and that players had already featured in warm-up matches ahead of the tournament.
“As an all-rounder, I try to contribute in all three departments so that the team can benefit in every possible way,” he said.
He termed competition in the league as a positive factor, adding that it not only improves the overall standard of the game but also provides players with opportunities to prove their abilities.
Commenting on fan support, Masood said spectators would be eager to watch matches and that Rawalpindi fans were especially excited to back their team. “We will try our best not to disappoint them,” he added.
Praising team captain Mohammad Rizwan, he said Rizwan always backs his players and encourages them to give their 100 percent on the field.
Masood further said the team’s primary goal was to perform strongly in its first season and make a serious push for the championship.
On social media, he noted that while he does follow it occasionally, criticism can sometimes create pressure, though he tries to stay focused on his game.
