Fahad Mustafa rejects skin tone bias in showbiz success

Pakistani actor and television host Fahad Mustafa has said that talent and hard work have become more important than physical appearance in today’s entertainment industry.

During an appearance on a private TV program, he was asked whether fair complexion is still necessary to become a leading actor or actress in showbiz.

Responding to the question, Fahad Mustafa said his own journey proves that skin tone is no barrier to success, adding that despite not having a fair complexion, he managed to establish himself in the industry through effort and ability.

He cited several successful artists, including Sanam Saeed, Saba Qamar, Ahmad Ali Akbar and Sajal Aly, saying their recognition comes from talent rather than appearance.

Fahad added that in the current global entertainment landscape, performers of all backgrounds and appearances are achieving prominent roles based on merit. He said he personally belongs to a wheatish complexion but built his career through persistence and skill.

The statement has gone viral on social media, drawing mixed reactions from users.

It is worth noting that Fahad Mustafa has previously faced criticism and discussion online regarding claims about cosmetic treatments aimed at skin whitening, although he has remained a central figure in Pakistan’s television and film industry.
