Veteran Pakistani actress Bushra Ansari has shared her experience of spending her first Eid at her in-laws’ home, describing it as markedly different from her own family environment.
Speaking during a private TV channel’s Eid special show, she candidly reflected on various aspects of her personal life, including her early days after marriage.
Recalling her first Eid at her in-laws, Bushra said she found the atmosphere unusually quiet, adding that there was little interaction or humour in the household.
“They neither laughed nor engaged much in conversation; food would simply be served,” she said, explaining that her in-laws were reserved by nature.
She further shared that even close family members would greet each other from a distance rather than with physical gestures, even after long periods apart.
The actress clarified that her in-laws were not unkind but had a serious and restrained temperament. She added that she often avoided making jokes, fearing they might be taken the wrong way.
