Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a telephone conversation with His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al Khaled Al Hamad Al Mubarak Al Sabah, Crown Prince of Kuwait, earlier today.
During the warm and cordial exchange, the leaders extended greetings on the auspicious occasion of Eid ul Fitr, conveying their best wishes for peace, prosperity, and well-being to the people of Pakistan, Kuwait, and the wider Muslim Ummah. The Prime Minister also conveyed respectful regards to the Amir of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah.
The Prime Minister condemned in the strongest terms the recent attacks on Kuwait, expressed condolences over the loss of lives, and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured. He emphasized Pakistan’s solidarity with the people of Kuwait and stressed the importance of regional cooperation to maintain peace, stability, and resolve differences through dialogue and diplomacy.
Reaffirming the historic fraternal ties between Pakistan and Kuwait, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended an invitation to the Crown Prince to undertake an official visit to Pakistan at his convenience. Both leaders agreed to remain in close contact.
