The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has unveiled a new five-year country strategy for Pakistan, spanning 2026 to 2030, offering a significant boost to the nation’s economic outlook.
The report emphasizes private-sector-led growth and outlines a comprehensive plan aimed at sustainable development over the next five years. Key priorities include creating employment opportunities, attracting investment, and increasing exports, while promoting women’s economic participation and broader social development.
The strategy also incorporates measures to address climate change and strengthen resilience against natural disasters. In addition, the plan envisages increased investment in vital sectors such as energy, agriculture, and infrastructure.
ADB has expressed its commitment to deepening cooperation with Pakistan to ensure the country remains on a path of stable and inclusive economic growth.
