Geneva (Lord Media): The United Nations’ weather agency has issued a warning about the strengthening of a strong El Niño system expected to raise global temperatures in the coming months. According to the agency, the effects of El Niño could be felt across various regions of the world until 2027.
During the last two heatwaves in Europe, extreme heat has resulted in over 3,700 deaths in France, Belgium, and the Netherlands. France recorded 2,025 deaths, Belgium 1,200, and the Netherlands 480. Authorities have expressed concerns about a potential increase in fatalities.
Additionally, Spain has also witnessed hundreds of deaths due to the intense heat.
