LONDON (Lord Media): The fifth heatwave in the UK has left citizens facing severe difficulties as temperatures in various regions consistently exceed 30 degrees Celsius. According to the Meteorological Department, temperatures in East Anglia and the South East could reach up to 36 degrees Celsius on Thursday.
Media reports indicate that in 1995, there were 34 days in the UK when temperatures exceeded 30 degrees Celsius, but by 2026, this number has increased to 35 days. The Health Security Agency has issued a blue alert for London, East Midlands, West Midlands, Yorkshire, and Humber.
Alongside the intense heat, the UK is also experiencing drought conditions, leading to incidents of wildfires in various areas. Experts suggest that the current heatwave has heightened concerns about unusually warm weather in the UK.
