India has sent the Governor of Bihar and the Minister of State for External Affairs to the Iranian leader’s burial, prompting significant criticism of Modi within the country.
Indian analysts suggest that Modi aims to avoid displeasing Israel and the United States, hence his decision to skip the event. BJP supporter JD Bakshi also criticized Modi, stating he should have attended personally.
