New York (Lord Media): A recent report reveals that 60 percent of videos on TikTok are based on artificial intelligence (AI) technology. The report, released by the American company Capwing, indicates that the use of AI in TikTok videos is nearly three times higher than on YouTube.
According to the report, TikTok’s algorithm feed provides greater access to lower-quality content, especially when it comes to younger users. Most videos under the ‘cartoon kids’ hashtag for children are AI-based.
Furthermore, when children use TikTok for educational or entertainment purposes, AI-generated content appears more frequently in their feeds. Experts have warned that AI content could be detrimental to children’s mental development.
In November 2025, TikTok introduced controls allowing users to increase or decrease the amount of AI content in their feeds.
