Rawalpindi (Lord Media): Rawalpindi police have arrested four hired assassins who traveled from another province to kill a local citizen. According to a police spokesperson, the gang planned to abduct and murder the citizen for 5 million rupees. Weapons, 400,000 rupees, and two cars were seized from the suspects.
Further investigations revealed that the vehicles used by the suspects had fake number plates. The payment for the assassination was transferred to a bank account, which will be retrieved following legal proceedings.
This gang has a history of involvement in terrorism, murder, drug trafficking, and arms-related crimes. When police stopped a suspicious vehicle and conducted a search, they found weapons, and the suspects confessed to being hired assassins.
The suspects disclosed that a person from Haripur had hired them for the murder in Rawalpindi. Teams have been formed to arrest this individual, and legal action has commenced.
CPO Syed Khalid Hamdani commended the police team for their timely action and praised them for saving the citizen’s life.
