Facebook eases monetization rules in Pakistan

Islamabad (Lord Media): Facebook has introduced significant changes to its monetization policy, easing rules for content creators and digital marketers in Pakistan. The move will allow users with fewer followers to earn in U.S. dollars from Facebook.

Under the new monetization system, users can access the ‘Content Monetization Tool’ by achieving 300,000 views within 28 days. This change enables creators to earn directly in U.S. dollars through their videos and short reels.

Previously, Facebook’s earning criteria were stringent, requiring 10,000 followers, 600,000 minutes of watch time, and a specific number of video uploads.

Digital media experts believe this new facility will create excellent employment opportunities for emerging talent in Pakistan. However, adherence to basic rules and copyright conditions remains essential.

According to Facebook’s official report, this revolutionary change is currently available on an experimental basis to select users, with plans for broader implementation soon.
