Islamabad (Lord Media): Political leaders from Azad Kashmir have pledged to thwart attempts to weaken the historical and ideological ties of the Kashmiri people with Pakistan. During a joint press conference in Islamabad, they strongly criticized anti-Pakistan activities, recent protests, and the banned Joint Action Committee.
Former Prime Ministers Sardar Attique and Shah Ghulam Qadir stated that there will be no compromise on the Kashmir issue. Shah Ghulam Qadir expressed determination to foil India’s agenda and accused the banned Action Committee of spreading unrest.
Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan mentioned that despite demands, the movement was diverted towards a constitutional dispute, causing damage worth billions of U.S. dollars to properties in Chakswari, Pallandri, and other areas. Over 170 cases have been registered for crimes committed during the protests.
Female leader Nabeela Ayub stated that the role of Pakistan and its armed forces is a guarantee for the peace and stability of Azad Kashmir. She emphasized that the struggle for public rights is a constitutional right of every citizen, but chaos and violence are unacceptable.
Information Minister Atta Tarar said that the face of the banned Joint Action Committee has been exposed to the world, and the group’s aim is to disrupt peace. He urged the protesters to return to their homes.
