TEHRAN (Lord Media): Iran has released American citizen Dina Karari despite ongoing military tensions between Tehran and Washington.
U.S. President Donald Trump welcomed the release in a social media statement, saying that Karari had been wrongfully detained during the Biden administration in 2024. Trump appreciated what he described as Iran’s goodwill gesture.
Human rights lawyer Jared Genser confirmed that Dina Karari is safe and on her way back to the United States. He also expressed gratitude to President Trump for his efforts regarding her release.
The development comes amid heightened tensions between Iran and the United States following recent military confrontations, with the release seen as a rare point of cooperation between the two sides.
