NASA’s supersonic jet breaks sound barrier

London (Lord Media): NASA’s state-of-the-art supersonic jet, ‘Son of Concorde’, valued at 247 million U.S. dollars, has successfully broken the sound barrier for the first time. During its test flight, the aircraft soared at speeds exceeding 700 miles per hour, marking a significant milestone.

This achievement is considered a major step towards the return of ultra-fast air travel between London and New York.

The aircraft promises to make transatlantic journeys in under four hours, a feat not seen since the retirement of the famous Concorde supersonic jet in 2003.

Experts indicate that breaking the sound barrier at sea level requires speeds of approximately 760 miles per hour. However, at altitudes above 40,000 feet, a speed of 660 miles per hour is sufficient to achieve supersonic travel.
