Islamabad (Lord Media): The upcoming fiscal year 2026-27 budget has set significant targets for the education sector aimed at improving literacy rates and educational standards in the country. According to documents, a target has been set to enroll 77 percent of children at the primary level, 69 percent at the middle level, and 58.8 percent at the secondary level.
Additionally, the goal is to reduce the rate of out-of-school children to 30.6 percent and increase adult literacy to 59.8 percent. The new budget also outlines several targets for training teachers.
