Islamabad (Lord Media): The federal cabinet has approved the federal budget for the upcoming fiscal year. The special cabinet meeting was chaired by Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.
During the meeting, the Federal Finance Minister proposed an increase in salaries and pensions for government employees. The proposal considered a two-phase 10% salary increase for government staff.
The cabinet ultimately approved a 7% increase in salaries and pensions for government employees. Federal Minister Rana Tanveer confirmed that government employees will receive a 7% salary hike.
