Rahul Roy breaks silence after facing trolling over viral videos

Bollywood actor Rahul Roy, who rose to overnight fame with the blockbuster film Aashiqui, has responded to intense social media trolling over his recent viral videos.

The actor, once considered a heartthrob of the 1990s for his romantic image and signature hairstyle, has reportedly been facing financial and health-related difficulties in recent years.

The controversy erupted after several videos surfaced online showing Rahul Roy appearing alongside an Instagram user identified as Dr Vinita while recreating old songs. The clips triggered mixed reactions on social media, with some users mocking the actor and questioning why a former superstar was making such content.

Following continued criticism and sarcastic remarks online, Rahul Roy broke his silence and clarified that he was working despite hardships to manage his financial situation.

In a message shared on Instagram, the actor said he had been dealing with financial pressure since suffering a brain stroke and becoming involved in certain legal matters.

Rahul Roy stated that mocking someone’s struggles or simplicity reflects more on the attitude of critics than on the individual facing hardship.

He further appealed to people to support him with better professional opportunities if they were genuinely concerned about his wellbeing, saying he wanted to resolve his financial issues with dignity.

The actor also emphasized that remaining professionally active after his stroke was important for both his physical and mental health, adding that he intended to continue working for as long as possible.

Responding firmly to his critics, Rahul Roy said that while people may hurt him temporarily, they could never break his spirit.

Following his statement, several celebrities including Farah Khan and Sonu Sood extended support to the actor, while fans urged filmmakers to offer the veteran star meaningful roles once again.
