Pakistan’s Test cricket team has arrived in Dhaka for the upcoming two-match Test series against Bangladesh national cricket team.
According to reports, the visiting squad received a warm welcome at Dhaka airport where officials of the Bangladesh Cricket Board presented bouquets to the players.
The team was later escorted to a local hotel under strict security arrangements.
The first Test between Pakistan national cricket team and Bangladesh will begin on May 8 at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.
The second Test is scheduled to start from May 16 in Sylhet. Both matches will be part of the ICC World Test Championship 2025–27 cycle.
Pakistan’s 16-member squad includes Shan Masood (captain), Imam-ul-Haq, Babar Azam, Saud Shakeel, Mohammad Rizwan, Mohammad Abbas, Hasan Ali, Khurram Shahzad, Sajid Khan, Noman Ali, Salman Ali Agha and Shaheen Shah Afridi.
Ghazi Ghori, Azan Awais, Abdullah Fazal and Imad Butt have been included as reserve players.
Former Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed is serving as head coach, while Umar Gul is the bowling coach and Asad Shafiq is the batting coach.
