PM allows spectators for PSL final at Gaddafi Stadium

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has approved the return of spectators for the final of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), ending restrictions on crowd attendance for the marquee match, officials said.

According to a statement shared on social media by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, he had requested the prime minister to allow fans back into the stadium for the final.

Naqvi said the prime minister endorsed the proposal, noting that both the government and stakeholders wanted to see fans back in the stands.

The PCB chairman thanked the prime minister for approving the decision, which came after a request from franchise owners as well.

The PSL final of the 11th edition is scheduled to be played on May 3 at the Gaddafi Stadium Lahore, one of Pakistan’s premier cricket venues.

The decision is expected to bring a lively atmosphere back to the tournament’s concluding match, with thousands of fans likely to attend.
