Reality TV personality found dead in Arizona

Darrell Sheets, best known for his appearances on the reality series Storage Wars, has died at the age of 67, local authorities confirmed.

According to police, officers responded to a report of a death at around 2am on Wednesday, April 22, where a man was found deceased at the scene. Initial findings suggested the death appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot. Authorities confirmed the death on site before referring the case for further investigation, according to international media.

A statement said the Criminal Investigation Unit was immediately called to examine the circumstances.

The body was later transferred to the Mohave County Medical Examiner, where it was formally identified as Darrell Sheets, and his family was notified. Officials said investigations into the incident are ongoing.

Darrell Sheets rose to prominence through “Storage Wars,” a show centred on auctions of abandoned storage units, where bidders compete to uncover valuable items. Known as “The Gambler” for his bold bidding style, he frequently appeared alongside his son Brandon Sheets.

Over the years, Sheets gained recognition for discovering valuable items, including rare artwork and collectible comic collections, making him a notable figure in the storage auction world.

Police have urged anyone with further information related to the incident to come forward as inquiries continue.
