Pakistan football achieved a historic milestone as the national U-16 team departed for Kazakhstan to participate in a UEFA Development Tournament for the first time.
President of the Pakistan Football Federation, Mohsen Gilani, termed the participation a major breakthrough, calling it a landmark moment for the country’s football development.
He said the federation is committed to promoting the sport in Pakistan, adding that such international events provide valuable learning opportunities for young players.
The tournament is scheduled to be held from April 24 to 30.
Pakistan will open its campaign against Kazakhstan on April 25, followed by matches against Russia on April 27 and Azerbaijan on April 30.
