The federal government has released all required funds to the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) for the senior national team’s upcoming tour of England and Belgium for the Pro League.
Welcoming the move, the PHF termed it a significant milestone in efforts to revive the national sport and expressed gratitude for the government’s continued and unwavering support.
In a statement, the federation said that the provision of funds would enable national players to showcase their talent at the international level and compete with top teams on a global platform.
The PHF also assured the government that the resources would be utilized in a transparent and effective manner to help restore Pakistan hockey’s prestige at the international stage.
The statement added that the players are fully prepared to make the nation proud, while detailed schedule and match fixtures for the tour will be announced soon.
Reaffirming its commitment, the federation said it would make every effort to utilize the support to bring back the past glory of Pakistan hockey.
