An Indian woman who underwent two heart transplants has shared an emotional account of support she received from Bollywood superstar Salman Khan during her medical journey.
Salman Khan has been actively involved in philanthropic work since 2007 through his Being Human Foundation, which provides assistance in healthcare and education to those in need.
Among those helped is Rina Raju, a resident of Karnataka, who has undergone two heart transplant surgeries. In a recent interview, she recalled her difficult time and expressed deep gratitude for the actor’s support.
“I want to say first that I love Salman Khan with all my heart,” she said, recounting her first interaction with the star. According to her, she had his contact number and called him before her first transplant, to which he responded immediately.
Rina said she informed him about her upcoming surgery, and despite being in Australia for a shoot, Salman Khan stayed on a phone call with her for nearly two hours on the night of her transplant, offering encouragement and emotional support.
She further said the actor extended significant help to her family and motivated her to get through the challenging phase.
Recalling her second transplant, Rina said she later met Salman Khan at his residence, where they spent considerable time which a memory she described as deeply cherished.
