Renowned singer Meesha Shafi has reacted on social media following a court verdict in a defamation case, sharing messages centred on resilience, healing and women’s empowerment.
Taking to Instagram Stories, Meesha Shafi posted poetry and reflections that suggested she views the episode as a personal trial, now shifting her focus towards self-recovery and moving forward.
She said she has endured the experience and is now on a path of healing, adding that speaking the truth remains her greatest achievement. She expressed resolve to grow stronger through her work.
The dispute dates back nearly eight years, when Meesha Shafi levelled harassment allegations against Ali Zafar, triggering a prolonged legal battle between the two artists.
In the latest ruling, the court decided in favour of Ali Zafar, directing Meesha Shafi to pay Rs5 million in damages.
