Warner dismisses ‘fight’ rumours after viral PSL video

A viral video from the ongoing Pakistan Super League sparked controversy after claims surfaced on social media alleging a rift between David Warner and Moeen Ali, which were later dismissed by the Australian batter himself.

The clip, shared widely following Karachi Kings’ win over Peshawar Zalmi, showed Warner speaking to Moeen Ali and later to team manager Haider Azhar, prompting speculation about an on-field disagreement.

The claims gained traction after being reposted by a social media account bearing the name of former Indian cricketer Ajay Jadeja, suggesting that a dispute had taken place between the players.

Responding to the allegations, Warner took to social media to reject the claims, urging users to “relax” and stating that the clip had been taken out of context. He clarified that the interaction was routine team banter and explained that the manager often prefers to initiate handshakes first, adding that the moment had nothing to do with Moeen Ali.

The incident once again highlighted how short video clips from high-profile leagues can be misinterpreted online, particularly during the ongoing PSL season, which continues to draw significant attention across the region.

Meanwhile, questions remain about the authenticity of the account used to amplify the claim, despite it carrying a verification badge and having thousands of followers.
