An American horse, Magnitude, clinched victory at an international equestrian event held in Dubai, where top-bred horses from around the world competed for top honors.
The winning jockey was awarded $12 million for securing first place, while the total prize purse for the prestigious Dubai World Cup stood at $30.5 million.
Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, congratulated the organizers on the successful hosting of the event, describing it as another landmark achievement for the United Arab Emirates in the field of sports.
The event once again highlighted Dubai’s growing stature as a global hub for elite sporting competitions.
