Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif received a telephone call today from His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al Khaled Al Hamad Al Sabah, during which both leaders engaged in a warm and cordial discussion regarding the recent attacks on Kuwait.
The Prime Minister reiterated Pakistan’s strong condemnation of the attacks and expressed solidarity with the people of Kuwait, offering condolences for the lives lost and prayers for the recovery of the injured. He also briefed the Kuwaiti leadership on Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts aimed at ending the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
In response, the Crown Prince commended the Prime Minister’s leadership and fully endorsed Pakistan’s mediation efforts between Iran and the United States. He thanked Pakistan for its support during the current crisis and acknowledged the Prime Minister’s recent letter of solidarity to Kuwait. The Crown Prince also expressed his intention to visit Pakistan once the situation stabilizes.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif thanked the Crown Prince and assured him that Pakistan would continue to play a constructive role in promoting peace and stability in the region.
