Internationally acclaimed singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and his son Shah Zaman Khan were honoured with special awards at the UK Parliament, describing the recognition as a significant achievement in their careers.
The ceremony was attended by several members of parliament, including Tariq Ahmad, Mohammad Yasin and Afzal Khan. The event was organised by Pakistani and Bangladeshi musical duo Kashif Raja and Rabaith Jahan.
Earlier, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Shah Zaman Khan delivered a captivating performance at the historic Royal Albert Hall on Sunday, earning widespread appreciation from the audience.
Speaking on the occasion, Rahat said receiving an award at the UK Parliament was a matter of great pride for him, adding that the achievement was the result of his parents’ prayers and years of hard work.
He also revealed that he is set to release a new song in the Bengali language soon, a project that fans are eagerly anticipating.
