Haris Rauf becomes third-fastest Pakistani to 100 ODI wickets

Pakistan fast bowler Haris Rauf has become the third-fastest Pakistani to complete 100 wickets in One Day International (ODI) cricket, achieving the milestone during the second match of the ongoing series against Bangladesh national cricket team.

Rauf reached the landmark in his 55th ODI appearance, delivering a key performance in the match where he took three wickets for 23 runs in 4.3 overs. The achievement places him among the quickest bowlers from Pakistan national cricket team to reach the 100-wicket mark in the 50-over format.

Among Pakistani bowlers, current captain Shaheen Shah Afridi holds the record for reaching the milestone in the fewest matches, completing 100 ODI wickets in just 51 games. Former spinner Saqlain Mushtaq occupies the second spot, having achieved the feat in 53 matches.

Rauf’s rise in international cricket has been marked by his pace and aggressive bowling style, making him a regular feature in Pakistan’s limited-overs setup in recent years. His latest milestone further strengthens his reputation as one of the leading fast bowlers in Pakistan’s current pace attack.

According to cricket statistics maintained by the International Cricket Council and match records from the Pakistan–Bangladesh ODI series, the 31-year-old pacer crossed the 100-wicket mark during the early stages of the match with a decisive spell that helped restrict the opposition.

Cricket analysts say the milestone highlights Rauf’s rapid progression in international cricket and places him alongside some of Pakistan’s most effective bowlers in ODI history.
