Farhana Maqsood alleges unfair treatment during film project

Pakistani actress Farhana Maqsood has spoken about her experience working on the film Main Hoon Shahid Afridi, claiming she was treated unfairly during the project.

The actress shared the details while appearing as a guest on a podcast, where she discussed the filming and promotional phase of the movie produced by actor and producer Humayun Saeed.

According to Maqsood, despite playing an important role in the film, her name was not included in the official cast list. She also said that she was not invited to any promotional events or the premiere after the completion of shooting.

“I do not know what the issue was, but I believe I was treated unfairly,” she said during the interview.

The actress further revealed that when she initially agreed to the project, she was told it was a telefilm. However, upon arriving on the set, she discovered that it was actually being made as a feature film.

She said that despite the confusion, she decided to continue with the project in support of fellow artists.

Maqsood also claimed that she was paid according to a telefilm contract rather than the remuneration typically offered for a feature film.

She added that it was embarrassing for her to see that although she had performed a significant role in the film, her name was not included in the credits and she was not invited to promotional activities related to the project.
