76 pct Pakistani youth optimistic about future: UNFPA report

ISLAMABAD (Lord Media): According to a report by the United Nations Population Fund, 76% of Pakistani youth are optimistic about the future. Released on World Population Day, the report states that Pakistan’s population has reached approximately 257.2 million, with one-third of the population aged between 10 and 24 years.

The report highlights that Pakistan’s future depends on the opportunities, decisions, and capabilities of its youth. While 76% of young people are hopeful about the future, 53% are concerned about security, economic issues, and inequality. Rural youth face challenges due to a lack of internet access.

The United Nations Population Fund has called for teaching digital skills to youth and providing them with good job opportunities. They emphasize that population policy is not just about increasing or decreasing numbers, but about rights and choices.
