Sindh to introduce digital exams and e-marking system

Karachi (Lord Media): The Sindh government has decided to implement modern technology and a globally standardized examination system in educational boards. In collaboration with the Asian Development Bank, the staff of educational boards will receive special training from IT experts and be equipped with advanced tools.

Minister for Universities and Educational Boards, Muhammad Ismail Rahoo, shared the project details during a meeting with representatives of the Asian Development Bank. The meeting was also attended by Secretary of Universities Muhammad Abbas Baloch and chairpersons of the province’s educational boards.

The meeting discussed the modernization of the examination system under the Sindh Secondary Education Improvement Project, focusing on e-marking, digitalization, and enhancing the capacity of educational boards.

Minister Rahoo stated that e-marking is being introduced to replace traditional examination methods, and proposals for the project’s approval will be presented to the Sindh cabinet.

Muhammad Ismail Rahoo further mentioned that educational boards will be provided with scanners, cutting machines, servers, and other modern equipment. Faqir Muhammad Lakho, Chairman of the Intermediate Board Karachi, has been appointed as the focal person for the modernization of the examination system.

The provincial minister emphasized that the reform initiatives, supported by the Asian Development Bank, will play a crucial role in modernizing Sindh’s examination system.
