Islamabad (Lord Media): Reports of harassment against men are increasing in Pakistan, with the Federal Ombudsman for Protection against Harassment receiving 521 complaints from men in one year, constituting 40% of total complaints.
According to documents obtained, the highest number of complaints from men was filed at the Federal Ombudsman’s head office in Islamabad, followed by Punjab.
In total, 1,290 harassment complaints were lodged by both men and women over the year, with the Federal Ombudsman resolving 1,104 of these cases.
In Peshawar, 42 men filed harassment complaints, while Karachi saw 24 and Balochistan recorded two complaints. Additionally, 769 women approached the Federal Ombudsman regarding harassment. Islamabad recorded the highest number of complaints from women at 496, with Punjab following at 154.
