Lahore (Lord Media): The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has allocated 110 crore rupees for players’ monthly salaries and match fees. This year, 45 cricketers will be contracted across five different categories.
Players in categories A and B will receive 1.5 million rupees for Test matches, 750,000 rupees for ODIs, and 500,000 rupees for T20s. Category A players will get 1.5 million rupees for Tests, 650,000 rupees for ODIs, and 450,000 rupees for T20s. Category B and C players will have Test fees set at 900,000 rupees, ODIs at 750,000 rupees, and T20s at 500,000 rupees.
Currently, 30 contracted players receive 1,257,795 rupees for Tests, 644,620 rupees for ODIs, and 418,584 rupees for T20s. There have been no changes to the men’s domestic central contracts, with a total of 175 players to be contracted.
Women’s cricketers’ central contract fees have also been revised. The first four categories received a 33% increment, while the last category saw a 50% increase. Although there are no changes in the women’s domestic central contracts, match fees will be increased.
The PCB has also decided to introduce two new tournaments in women’s domestic cricket, the Super Three One Day and Super Three T20, with costs of 70.57 million rupees and 59.13 million rupees respectively.
