Germany (Lord Media): During the Saarland Trofeo Juniors cycle race in Germany, an elderly woman’s scooter unexpectedly entered the race path, causing an accident. Several cyclists fell, but fortunately, no serious injuries were reported.
The race took place on Sunday with over 100 young cyclists from across Europe participating. A video of the incident has gone viral on social media, showing the woman maneuvering her scooter from the spectators’ area onto the road.
One cyclist managed to avoid the collision, but the cyclist behind him crashed, leading to more cyclists falling.
Dutch cyclist Paul Vriesman shared on social media that the incident was dangerous, but luckily, there were no major injuries. Reports confirm that all cyclists escaped serious harm.
Observers have warned spectators to remain within safety boundaries, as even minor errors can lead to significant accidents in high-speed races.
