Lahore (Lord Media): The Punjab government has announced that higher education institutions in the province will operate under a public-private partnership model. This decision aims to enhance educational standards.
All higher education institutions across Punjab currently managed by the government will now function under the Public-Private Partnership Act 2025. This system is intended to improve educational standards in line with modern requirements.
A thirteen-member committee, led by the Punjab Finance Minister, has been formed to oversee the legal and financial aspects of this system. The committee includes the Minister of Law and Parliamentary Affairs, the Minister of Higher Education, the Chairman of the P&D Board, and other key officials.
Sources indicate that the Punjab government will retain full administrative and financial control over higher education institutions while implementing the public-private partnership model to elevate educational standards.
