Lahore (Lord Media): Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has appealed to the youth to donate blood on International Blood Donor Day. She stated that blood donors are benefactors of the entire society.
Maryam Nawaz mentioned that registration as a donor is possible via the Safe City website or at the nearest police service center. She highlighted that Punjab has the distinction of establishing Pakistan’s first virtual blood bank.
She further explained that by calling the emergency helpline 15 and pressing 4, one can connect with the virtual blood bank, which links donors with patients in need.
Maryam Nawaz emphasized that, according to the World Health Organization, the provision of safe blood is an essential part of the healthcare system.
