Fatima Sana to lead Pakistan women against Zimbabwe

Pakistan women’s national cricket team on Saturday announced its squad for the upcoming three-match T20 International series against Zimbabwe women’s national cricket team at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi.

The side will be led by captain Fatima Sana as Pakistan continue preparations for the upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup scheduled to be held in England and Wales from June 12 to July 5.

The Pakistan squad includes Aliya Riaz, Amber Kainat, Ayesha Zafar, Iman Fatima, Gull Feroza, Iram Javed, Muneeba Ali (wicketkeeper), Nashra Sandhu, Natalia Pervaiz, Rameen Shamim, Sidra Iqbal, Syeda Aroob Shah, Tasmia Rubab and Tuba Hassan.

The series against Zimbabwe is aimed at helping the national side fine-tune preparations ahead of the global event.

Before the World Cup, Pakistan will also participate in a tri-nation Women’s T20 tournament in Ireland from May 28 to June 4, featuring hosts Ireland women’s national cricket team and West Indies women’s national cricket team.

The first T20I between Pakistan and Zimbabwe will be played on May 12, followed by the second match on May 14, while the third and final game is scheduled for May 15 in Karachi.
