Cricket fans faced significant inconvenience while attempting to purchase tickets for the Pakistan Super League 11 qualifier, as delays in ticket availability left hundreds waiting outside the stadium.
According to details, a large number of people gathered at China Ground, located opposite the National Stadium Karachi, in hopes of securing tickets for the high-stakes match.
The Pakistan Cricket Board had earlier announced that physical tickets for the qualifier between Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi would be made available on Tuesday through designated outlets.
Fans present at the venue said they had arrived as early as 8am, following instructions that ticket sales would begin at 10am. However, even after the scheduled time, no staff were present at the box office, and tickets remained unavailable.
Many ticket seekers expressed frustration over the lack of organisation and communication, as they continued to wait without clarity on when sales would commence.
Sources said the matter has been brought to the attention of the relevant authorities, who have assured that tickets will be made available shortly. The qualifier match is scheduled to begin at 7pm.
