The Pakistan Cricket Board has announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming ODI series against Zimbabwe women’s national cricket team, with Fatima Sana set to captain the side.
Zimbabwe women’s team will tour Pakistan for the first time for a white-ball series, marking a significant development in bilateral women’s cricket.
The squad includes Aaliya Riaz, Ayesha Zafar, Diana Baig, Muneeba Ali, Najiha Alvi, Nashra Sandhu, Natalia Pervaiz, Rameen Shamim, Sadaf Shamas, Sidra Amin, Syeda Aroob Shah and Tasmia Rubab.
Notably, Momina Riasat has earned her maiden call-up to the ODI squad.
The ODI series between Pakistan and Zimbabwe will be played from May 4 to 9 at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi. The two sides will also play a T20 series from May 12 to 15 at the same venue, with the squad for that format to be announced later.
Zimbabwe’s team is scheduled to arrive in Karachi on April 29, while Pakistan’s women’s team has already begun training at the State Bank Ground. Both teams will hold practice sessions at the National Bank Stadium from April 30.
The series is expected to provide valuable international exposure and competitive opportunities for both sides ahead of upcoming global events.
