The Pakistan Super League (PSL) disciplinary authorities have fined two prominent cricketers Mohammad Amir and Faheem Ashraf for breaching the code of conduct during a tense on-field altercation in Match 34 of PSL 11.
According to details, the incident occurred during the match between Islamabad United and Rawalpindi-based opposition, when a heated exchange took place after Faheem Ashraf was dismissed off Mohammad Amir’s delivery.
Following the dismissal, Amir reportedly gestured towards Faheem to walk back, which triggered a verbal exchange. Faheem reacted strongly and moved towards the bowler, resulting in a brief confrontation between the two players.
On-field umpires and teammates quickly intervened, preventing the situation from escalating further.
The match referee later imposed a fine of 10 percent of the match fee on both players for violating the PSL code of conduct. Officials confirmed that both cricketers accepted the charges and admitted their mistake.
Cricket analysts say such incidents highlight the intensity of high-pressure matches but stressed the importance of maintaining discipline at the professional level.
