Pakistan kabaddi team falls to Iran at Asian Beach Games

Pakistan faced a mixed day at the ongoing Asian Beach Games in China, with the national kabaddi team suffering a defeat while athletes in aquathlon events recorded personal best performances.

In kabaddi, Pakistan lost to Iran by 28–38 in a competitive encounter, marking a setback for the side in the tournament.

In individual events, Pakistan’s Hamza Asif competed in the men’s aquathlon final against 31 participants and finished 28th, clocking 37.26 minutes, which also marked his personal best.

In the women’s aquathlon final, Ayesha Waqas secured 26th position among 27 competitors, completing the race in 56.32 minutes and also achieving a personal best timing.

Despite mixed results, officials noted encouraging signs in endurance events, particularly with athletes improving their individual performance benchmarks at the international stage.
