Another team has been knocked out of the playoff race in the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League, as Quetta Gladiators were eliminated following a crucial defeat.
According to details, Quetta Gladiators crashed out of the tournament after losing an important match to Lahore Qalandars. The side managed just three wins in nine matches, leaving their final fixture a mere formality.
Earlier, newly introduced franchise Rawalpindis, led by Mohammad Rizwan, had already been eliminated after suffering eight consecutive defeats in the tournament.
On the points table, Peshawar Zalmi lead with 15 points, followed by Multan Sultans with 12, Islamabad United with 9, and Lahore Qalandars with 8 points. Meanwhile, Quetta Gladiators, Hyderabad Kingsmen and Karachi Kings are placed lower on the table with six points each.
The playoff race is now intensifying among the remaining teams as the tournament moves towards its next phase.
