Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty has recalled a painful incident from her early career, revealing that she continued shooting despite suffering a burn injury on set.
Speaking during a recent show, the actress shared that the injury occurred while filming a scene when her back accidentally came into contact with a high-intensity HMI light. She said the severity of the burn was not immediately apparent, but the pain intensified shortly afterward.
According to Shilpa Shetty, the incident happened as she moved out of the frame during a shot and collided with the lighting equipment placed behind her.
She explained that such burns often do not feel severe at first, with the intensity becoming noticeable later. Despite the injury, the actress said she returned to the set the very next day to continue filming.
However, she faced difficulty wearing her costume due to the wound. To manage the pain, she modified her outfit by avoiding the usual zip and instead had it stitched from the front with threads to reduce discomfort.
Shilpa Shetty said her decision to continue working was driven by her commitment to her profession, adding that she did not want the production to suffer losses because of her absence.
