Quetta Gladiators fast-bowling all-rounder Jahandad Khan has been fined 10 percent of his match fee for breaching the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) Code of Conduct during a recent match.
The incident occurred during a fixture against Rawalpindi at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi, where match officials reported inappropriate on-field behaviour following a dismissal.
According to officials, Jahandad Khan violated Article 2.5 of the PSL Code of Conduct, which relates to language, actions, or gestures that may provoke an aggressive reaction from a batter or create an undesirable response on the field.
The episode took place in the 18th over of the innings after he dismissed batter Saad Masood. His subsequent reaction was deemed to be in breach of the regulations.
On-field umpires Sharfuddoula and Imran Javed reported the incident, after which the charge was formally accepted by the player. Match referee Ranjan Madugalle imposed the penalty, which Jahandad Khan accepted without contest.
